Terms of Use and Community Guidelines
Liftkin is a place to train, improve, and push each other. By creating an account or using Liftkin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Who can use Liftkin
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Keep your sign-in private; you are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account.
Community guidelines
These apply to everything you post or send: your name, username, photo, bio, messages, squad and challenge names, and gyms you add. Do not post or send:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or encouragement of self harm.
- Hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other group.
- Sexual content, nudity, or sexual advances toward people who have not welcomed them.
- Content involving minors in any sexual or harmful way. We report this to the authorities.
- Spam, scams, advertising, or links meant to mislead.
- Impersonation of another person, or a fake identity used to deceive.
- Another person's private information, including where they live or train, without their permission.
- Anything illegal, or content you do not have the right to share.
Liftkin automatically blocks some offensive words. That filter is a safety net, not permission: everything above is against the rules whether or not the filter catches it.
Reporting and enforcement
Use Report on any profile or message to flag it, and Block to stop someone from finding, following, or messaging you. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these rules we remove it, and we may suspend or permanently ban the account that posted it, with or without notice. Banned people may not create a new account.
Fair competition
Scores, matchups, and leaderboards only mean something when the numbers are real. Log the weights and reps you actually lifted, and check in only at gyms where you actually are. We may remove results or accounts that are clearly fabricated.
Training safety
Liftkin tracks training and estimates strength; it does not give medical advice. Strength training carries a risk of injury. Talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training program, use proper form and a spotter for heavy lifts, and stop if something hurts. You train at your own risk, and Liftkin's scores and suggestions are not a reason to lift beyond what is safe for you.
Your content
You own what you post. By posting it, you give Liftkin permission to store it and show it to the people it is meant for inside the app, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and your content at any time from Social, Edit profile.
Ending your account
You can stop using Liftkin and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.
No warranties
Liftkin is provided as is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, Liftkin is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including injuries from training.
App Store
If you downloaded Liftkin from the App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and Liftkin, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app, and continuing to use Liftkin means you accept the updated terms.
